McCorkle to Lead TechPoint Board
Indiana’s tech sector initiative has announced a top name in the industry will lead its board. Former Salesforce Marketing Cloud Chief Executive Officer Scott McCorkle will become TechPoint’s board chair, succeeding Apparatus CEO Kelly Pfledderer.
TechPoint has also announced Salesforce Marking Cloud Chief Operating Officer Glenda Akers and Kronos Inc. Vice President Kristina Lengyel are joining the board.
McCorkle says TechPoint "is playing a critical role helping Indiana reach its potential as a major tech hub." He served as president of technology and strategy for ExactTarget before the company’s acquisition by Salesforce. TechPoint honored him in 2016 with the Trailblazer Award, which recognizes tech leaders whose contributions have had significant impact on the state and its technology ecosystem.
Akers has more than 30 years of experience in product development and has played an active role in Austin’s startup community with roles at companies including MetaSolv, SoloMio and Macheen. Lengyel has been with Kronos since August 2010. She is a self-proclaimed "successful runaway," born and raised in Hungary. Her story has been chronicled by the Huffington Post‘s Women in Business Q&A series.
TechPoint says OurHealth Executive Vice President of Marketing Shelly Towns will continue her role on the TechPoint board. She was previously senior vice president of product at Angie’s List Inc. (Nasdaq: ANGI).
