The incoming chief executive officer at ExactTarget Inc. is re-affirming the company's commitment to Indianapolis, while touting the benefits of the central Indiana workforce. Scott McCorkle will takeover this summer from Scott Dorsey, who has decided to leave the company, although he will remain an ExactTarget Foundation director. McCorkle currently serves as chief operating officer and says he wants to maintain the energy and spirit that has been built up over the years. During an interview that will air this weekend on Inside INdiana Business Television, McCorkle and Dorsey examine the company's opportunities and the benefits of Indianapolis. The leadership change comes roughly a year after Salesforce.com acquired the e-mail marketing provider in a blockbuster $2.5 billion deal.

McCorkle says the integration of the two companies has gone well to this point, but there are more opportunities to build a solid marketing platform for services Salesforce.com offers its clients.

He has been with ExactTarget since 2005 and has experience with IBM, BorgWarner Automotive's Technology Research Center and Eli Lilly and Co.'s Lilly Research Laboratories.
