Marshall County Hires New Economic Development Chief

The Marshall County Economic Development Corp. has named its next president and chief executive officer. The MCEDC says Dax Norton will succeed Jerry Chavez, who announced his resignation in September.

The organization says Norton has more than 20 years of experience in economic development.

For the past two years, Norton has been with Indianapolis-based ms consultants. Before his work in the private sector, Norton was town manager of Whitestown. He also served with the Boone EDC in Boone County.

“I am humbled and excited to be given this opportunity to assist community leaders as they turn economic and community development vision into sustainable reality,” said Norton. 

Norton will start his new job in December.
