The Marshall County Economic Development Corp. has named Dax Norton president and chief executive officer. He previously served as municipal operations and economic development consultant for ms consultants inc. Prior to that, Norton served as town manager for the town of Whitestown.

His experience also includes five years directing economic development initiatives for the Boone EDC in Boone County, and shorter tenures at OCRA, Blackford County EDC and the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Ball State University and holds a certificate from the Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute.
