Marques Joins Faegre Baker Daniels’ Immigration Team

As the Honorary Consul of Portugal to the State of Indiana, he brings an international perspective to his cross-border work. Marques helps Fortune 500, medium and small public, private and nonprofit organizations transfer employees across borders and manage immigration matters. He has extensive experience resolving immigration issues such as removal defense, familial adjustment of status, naturalization, asylum and post-conviction relief.
Marques serves on the board of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Indiana Chapter, The International Center, the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, the Indiana Latino Institute, the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law Alumni Association and a charter school.
Marques is the recipient of a 2017 Indiana Lawyer Up and Coming Award and has been listed as a Rising Star by Indiana Super Lawyers since 2014. Marques earned his law degree from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law in 2010 and a bachelor’s degree from Butler University in 2004. He graduated from La Universidad de Salamanca Nivel Superior in 2002.
