Marian University in Indianapolis will break ground Friday on the new E.S. Witchger School of Engineering. The university announced plans in October to expand its engineering program with the creation of the school, which includes plans to offer undergraduate degrees in various disciplines.
Marian says the Witchger School of Engineering will open to its first class of students in fall 2022.
The program is named for the Witchger family, which owns and operates Indianapolis-based Marian Inc, a global manufacturer of component parts for the medical, electronics, and automotive industries.
In March, Marian University named Binh Tran founding dean of the engineering school.
