The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded contracts to two companies in Indiana. Marengo Warehouse and Distribution Center LLC and Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis have received deals worth $13.5 million and $9.3 million, respectively.

The contract for Marengo calls for commercial cold storage of government-owned operational rations. The contract is set for five years with three one-year option periods, with work being performed at the company’s facility in Marengo, Indiana. The DOD awarded a similar contract to Illinois-based AFH Logistics Services LLC.

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis has been contracted to install Infrared Suppression Systems on the AC-130W aircraft fleet for the U.S. Special Operations Command. The DOD says work will be performed at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico and is expected to be complete by November of 2017.
