Marching Bands Take Indy For DCI World Championship

For the 11th time, Drum Corps International is holding its World Championship Finals in Indianapolis. Visit Indy says the event, which will culminate in a final competition Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium, is expected to attract some 30,000 attendees.

DCI has held 109 shows throughout the summer in 37 states. Nearly four dozen teams are competing for titles in Open Class, World Class and International Class groups.

Thursday will feature 40 drum corps in the DCI World Championship Prelims. The top 25 teams will advance to Friday’s DCI World Championships and be pared down to the "Top 12" finalists for Saturday night. You can connect to more about the competition and see the full schedule by clicking here.
