Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report Lear Corp. (NYSE: LEA) and United Auto Workers Local 2335 have reached a tentative agreement on a five-year contract. The sides were at odds over wages.
Workers at the Lake County operation produce seats for Ford Explorers and Tauruses.
The Michigan-based company employs 760 at the plant.
The contract is awaiting local union ratification. No date has been set for that action.
The Times reports a Lear spokesman says the supplier had offered a fair and competitive contract, including wage increases.
