Manufacturer Reopens Terre Haute Plant

A Texas-based fiber cement siding manufacturer has reopened a massive facility in Terre Haute. Allura USA says the 438,000-square-foot manufacturing plant, which closed in 2014, will help the company provide much-needed product availability.
Chief Executive Officer Jessica Navascues says the company is working to develop markets through the Midwest so having products available will be necessary to meet that goal. Allura signed a national agreement with California-based KB Home (NYSE: KBH) in October to serve as its exclusive supplier of exterior fiber cement siding products.
The plant employs 60 workers in Terre Haute. It is situated on 95 acres of land and includes a 9,120-square-foot office building, a multi-level water building, a 1,200-square-foot dosing building, and various storage yards, railroad spars and parking areas.
