A global components manufacturer with a presence in northern Indiana is set to break ground Wednesday on an expansion in Goshen. The Elkhart Truth reports Dometic Group Americas is planning to consolidate three Michigan warehouses into the larger facility. The company, which supplies parts to the recreational vehicle and boating industries, employs more than 400 at a refrigerator manufacturing plant in Elkhart. Nearly 400 workers also build awnings at a LaGrange plant.

Dometic currently has around three dozen employees in Goshen and the move is expected to create a small number of new jobs.

Vice President of Operations Jim Menefeehe tells the publication the expansion will create more efficient shipping of multiple products at the same time.
