Greenwood-based Nachi America Inc. is seeking tax breaks on a nearly $50 million proposed expansion. Our partners at the Daily Journal reports the company plans to purchase equipment and a new building and add 17 jobs. The expansion plans involve Nachi America subsidiaries Nachi Tool America and Nachi Technology. The company also has operations in Florida and California.

Nachi manufactures tools and machine parts. In 2009, it consolidated operations from facilities in Michigan and North Carolina to its central Indiana location.
