A manufacturer of food and medical grade flexible packaging is growing its Marshall County operations. Bomarko Inc. plans to invest $5 million to expand its facility in Plymouth and add 20 jobs.
The Marshall County Economic Development Corp. says the investment will include $2 million in building improvements and $3 million in new equipment. The company plans to construct a manufacturing building addition, that will be at least 20,000 square feet, to its existing facility. Plans also call for a new printing press for the facility.
"We are excited about this project and the growth opportunity it provides for Bomarko," said Jennifer Hewitt, controller for Bomarko. "As a long-standing business in Plymouth, we look forward to a continuing investment in our employees, local economy, and community."
Bomarko currently employs 120 people in Plymouth. The Marshall County EDC says the company’s production capabilities include a variety of coatings, printing and laminating and the expansion will increase production.
