Manufacturer expanding, adding jobs in Evansville

Evansville-based Separation by Design is looking to more than double the size of its operations with a planned $5 million expansion in the Vanderburgh County city.
The company, which manufactures and distributes custom fuel systems for the oil, gas and renewable fuels industries, says the planned expansion will result in up to 25 new jobs.
The expansion is the result of rising demand for the products and services offered by both the company and its subsidiary, KleerBlue Solutions, the company said in a news release.
“SBD has earned a reputation as a trusted partner in the construction of turnkey bulk oil, biofuel, and DEF facilities,” CEO Roy Jorgensen said in the release. “That trust has fueled our rapid growth in recent years. We’re committed to scaling our operations in a way that keeps us ahead of demand, so we can continue delivering the reliability and performance our customers expect.”
The expansion will add 90,000 square feet to SBD’s existing 56,000-square-foot facility at 1601 Buchanan Road. The company did not provide a timeline for the project’s completion.
Separation by Design, which currently employs 35 in Evansville, provides products such as above-ground blending, storage and dispensing systems; above-ground oil/water separators; and diesel exhaust fueling solutions.
