Tennessee-based Manchester Tank & Equipment Co. is planning to permanently close its Elkhart facility. In a notice to the state, the company said the closure will result in the layoff of 128 employees.
The closure and job losses are expected to occur on April 30, and the company says all separations are expected to be completed by July 30.
Manchester Tank designs and manufactures steel and aluminum low-pressure DOT cylinders and ASME pressure vessels for industrial applications.
According to the notice, employees are not represented by a union, and there are no bumping rights.
