Make48 TV episode to debut, showcase Fishers competition
A fast-paced innovation competition that took place last fall at Fishers Maker Playground will be highlighted Wednesday on the Roku streaming service This Old House Makers Channel. The episode was recorded in September during the 48-hour competition, Make48.
The nationwide maker competition held a regional contest at the Maker Playground, which is located in the Hub and Spoke building in Fishers.
Teams were presented with a real-world challenge and had 48 hours to come up with a solution, including building a prototype, creating a sales sheet, producing a marketing video and pitching the campaign to a panel of judges.
The first-place team, who will be unveiled during Wednesday night’s show, will advance to Make48’s national competition in March.
Fishers Maker Playground will host a watch party on Wednesday from 7:30-9:30 p.m. The local teams will be there to talk about the experience.
The Maker Playground offers a variety of equipment for innovators, including 3D printers, laser engraver & cutters, and CNC machinery.
