The first road project in Governor Mike Pence's Major Moves 2020 initiative will begin today in central Indiana. It involves widening and reconstructing a section of I-65 near Southport and Greenwood. Last year, Pence called for the State Budget Agency to release $200 million for upgrades to key, decades-old sections along I-65. March 9, 2015

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Tomorrow, Governor Mike Pence will offer remarks at the I-65 expansion groundbreaking, which is part of the Governor’s Major Moves 2020 program. Later in the afternoon, the Governor and Dr. Thomas Brown, who was in Selma, Alabama during Bloody Sunday in 1965, will discuss the March on Selma. In 2010, the Governor commemorated the 45th anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Selma.
