Carmel-based Mainstreet Property Group LLC has outlined an ambitious three-year growth plan. The company believes the projects will result in 3,000 permanent jobs and an economic impact of about $3 billion. Mainstreet plans new rehabilitation and therapy centers this year in Terre Haute, South Bend, Kokomo, Lafayette and Indianapolis.

Carmel, Ind. — Mainstreet Property Group, one of the nation's most innovative health care developers, known for developing desirable, hotel-like rehabilitation and therapy properties, has announced a significant pipeline of 2014-2016 planned Indiana development projects. These projects will combine to create 3,000 permanent jobs and 8,400 temporary jobs in Indiana, and will have a financial impact to Indiana of an estimated $3 billion.

In 2014 alone, projects currently underway in cities including Lafayette, Terre Haute, South Bend, Kokomo and Indianapolis will create approximately 2,500 construction jobs, 850 permanent jobs, and have a total economic impact of over $850 million. A complete list of the 2014 under-development projects is below. Cities where Mainstreet intends to grow in 2015 include Carmel, Dyer, Bloomington, Crown Point and others.

There is meaningful opportunity to offer better health care services and to raise the bar on expectations for what is possible. Already, over the last five years, Mainstreet has developed 10 properties in Indiana communities including Wabash, Crawfordsville, Westfield, Avon, Lawrenceburg and Mishawaka. This was the result of an investment of more than $125 million by Mainstreet, and created 1,400 new permanent jobs, 3,500 construction jobs, and had an economic impact of nearly $1.3 billion. By the end of 2014, Mainstreet expects to have created more than 8,000 permanent and temporary jobs in the state of Indiana, placing it among the state's largest creators of new high-quality jobs.

“Mainstreet believed in Grand Park so much they became the first private development at the sports complex, building a medical resort called Wellbrooke,” says Westfield Mayor Andy Cook. “Wellbrooke has created jobs, brought in residents and set the bar for what private development should look like surrounding the park. Westfield is honored Mainstreet and its partner, Life Care Services, wanted to be a part of our future.”

As important as jobs and economic growth are, the medical resorts developed by Mainstreet transform the way healthcare is delivered to aging Americans and immediately impact the quality of life in local communities. They provide a warm, welcoming environment with a host of unique features, designed to create an inviting and engaging atmosphere including an in-house movie theater (complete with popcorn machine), outside fire pit, fireplaces, salon/spa for haircuts and manicures, fitness center, game room, art and music classes and walking trails. Services are built around the residents' interest and schedule, a departure from traditional facilities.
