The new location adds to the more than 90 branches the bank operates throughout Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky.
Chris Harrison, chief consumer banking officer for MainSource, says the new location, which is east of 96th Street and Keystone Avenue on the city’s northeast side, is part of an effort to expand the bank’s presence in Indianapolis and throughout the Midwest. MainSource plans to cut the ribbon the new location December 15.
"Indianapolis is such a great community," said Terry Smith, market president for MainSource. "We have tremendous local employees who truly care about helping others through volunteering, financial education and charity work. We’re really looking forward to providing this new location to everyone."
Last week, MainSource announced the retirement of Chief Credit Officer Bill Goodwin. Chris Bower, who currently serves as commercial banking regional president, will succeed Goodwin upon his retirement at the end of April.
