MainGate Hooks Up With PBR

Indianapolis-based MainGate Inc. is now the exclusive retail, event merchandising and eCommerce partner of the world’s premier bull riding organization. The deal with Professional Bull Riders will run through 2019.
Earlier this month, MainGate inked a two-year agreement with the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas involving similar services.
MainGate says the deal includes developing and selling officially-licensed PBR gear at around four dozen events each year, designing and maintaining PBRShop.com and working on wholesale merchandising opportunities such as apparel offerings with major retailers.
PBR Chief Executive Officer Sean Gleason says “MainGate has a reputation for being a results-driven retail and eCommerce partner with deep experience in the Western market With PBR viewership and attendance at all-time highs, and the cowboy culture gaining mainstream appeal, there’s strong growth potential for PBR licensed merchandise. We are confident MainGate will bring PBR fans compelling new products and a better shopping experience."
PBR says three million fans take in live events each year and television viewership reaches 40 countries and territories throughout the world in half a billion households.
MainGate CEO Dave Moroknek says "PBR already boasts an enormous fan base, and it’s still one of the fastest-growing sports in America. We have been asked to elevate the PBR retail experience to new levels and match the growth and excitement the sport has seen in the past 10 years. As always, we are excited and ready for the challenge."
MainGate says PBR event sales will start August 19 in Nashville, Tennessee and a new online store will be launched early fall.
