Lyness to Take House Oath
A bill to provide additional funding for the pilot program has cleared the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Subscribe NowState Representative Randy Lyness (R-68) will be sworn in Friday during a ceremony at the Statehouse. Lyness was selected last month by a local caucus to finish out the term of Jud McMillin, who abruptly resigned in September.
McMillin was House Majority Leader at the time he stepped down.
Lyness’ district includes Union County and portions of Dearborn and Franklin counties. The Dearborn County Council president beat out three other candidates to fill the seat. He was chosen by a caucus convened in Brookville that was made up of precinct committee members from the three county area.
Indiana Supreme Court Justice Brent Dickson will deliver the oath of office in the House chamber.
