Lutheran Hospital Appoints Chief Nursing Officer

Lutheran Hospital has appointed Angie Logan chief nursing officer. She will assume her responsibilities in September. Logan has been the CNO at Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne since 2014. She received national acclaim in 2013 when she received the Heart Failure Nurse Maven Award from The Healthcare Accreditation Colloquium. Logan’s other recent achievements include multiple invitations to speak at state and national healthcare conferences; oversight of departments and initiatives that have achieved high scores for outcomes and patient satisfaction; and graduating from Leadership Fort Wayne in 2015. She received her associate degree from Purdue University, Fort Wayne, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Western Governors University. Logan is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Organization of Nurse Executives. She will be taking the reins from one of her mentors, Diane Springer, who has decided to transition to a part-time position so she can spend more time with family.
