Loughrey to Lead Lumina Foundation Board

(NYSE: CMI) has been named board chair of the Indianapolis-based Lumina Foundation. Joe Loughrey has been with the board since 2009 and will serve a three-year term.
Loughrey succeeds Jim Lintzenich who finished his three-year term at the helm and will remain with the board. He also serves as chairman of the board for Batesville-based Hillenbrand Inc. (NYSE: HI) and Oxfam America. Loughrey is also on the boards of AB SKF, Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Inc., The Vanguard Group, Oxfam International and The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
He says "it’s an exciting time in postsecondary learning, with a great deal at stake for the nation’s economic and social success. I’m thrilled and honored to lead a Board that fully supports Lumina’s catalytic national leadership efforts to achieve Goal 2025." The initiative centers on boosting the total of Americans with postsecondary degrees, certificates or credentials to 60 percent by 2025.
Loughrey worked for Cummins for more than 35 years before retiring in 2009.
