Longtime Carmel City Street Commissioner Dave Huffman is retiring at the end of October. He has served the city for 32 year and has served in his current role since 2007. Huffman started his career with the street department in 1988. 

Mayor Jim Brainard has appointed current Operations Manager Terry Killen to replace Huffman. Killen has worked as operations manager since 2007 and has served the city since 1991.
