Senate President Pro Tem David Long (R-16) says he will not stand in the way of a bill lifting the state's ban on Sunday alcohol sales if it reaches the chamber. He tells our partners at Network Indiana/WIBC in Indianapolis he does not oppose the change, especially since Indiana is the only state that bans Sunday sales. State Representative Tom Dermody's (R-20) proposal would allow Sunday sales from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. He chairs the committee that sets alcohol policy.

Package liquor stores oppose the change, saying it would give big-box stores an unfair advantage.
