Logansport Memorial Hospital integrates into Parkview Health network

An independent hospital for 100 years, Logansport Memorial Hospital, has now joined Fort-Wayne based Parkview Health.
Logansport Memorial officially joined Parkview on July 1, saying the move was necessary to keep up its level of services in Cass County.
Though the move took effect at the start of the month, Logansport Memorial leadership has been eyeing an affiliation with Parkview since the spring. In late February, Logansport Memorial signed a letter of intent exploring a partnership with the larger health system.
“As our community knows, we have worked very hard to remain independent. While we have seen financial improvements, we’re still not where we’d like to be,” Tara McVay, president and CEO at Logansport Memorial, wrote in February. “At this point in our journey, we have to examine what is the best option in the long run for our community. We have chosen Parkview Health to help us stabilize and grow our hospital and services.”
Logansport Memorial has been renamed Parkview Logansport. The hospital is a 83-bed, full-service hospital accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.
A press release from Parkview Health says the former Logansport Memorial “will gradually integrate with Parkview’s systems and infrastructure” and the new Logansport Parkview with have Parkview Health branding. The release says around 750 phsyicans and medical staff will now be employed by Parkview.
Parkview has reported more than $2 billion in revue each year since 2019 and recently expanded to Marion in the past year.
