Indianapolis, Ind. — Drizly, the technology company powering responsible beer, wine and liquor delivery across the United States, and Big Red Liquors, the largest Indianapolis-area package liquor retailer, have expanded service to Carmel, IN due to overwhelming customer demand.

Residents of legal drinking age in Carmel, IN – named the #1 best place to live by CNN Money Magazine in 2012 — now have access to Big Red Liquors’ extensive inventory of products right from the Drizly smartphone app or Drizly.com, all delivered to their door. Delivery hours in Carmel are Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Friday through Saturday, 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

“Based on our early success in Indianapolis, we’re confident in the Drizly software and in our ability to maintain the important protocols of responsible alcohol delivery through more of our stores,” said Don Rix, President of Big Red Liquors. “Big Red's commitment to responsibility, quality and world-class customer service remains as strong today as it was 40 years ago, as evidenced by our recently instituted self-policing measures and our partnership with a cutting-edge technology company to super serve our customers.”

As a special welcome to new users, consumers across Indianapolis can enter CARMEL at checkout for free delivery (normally $5) on their first Drizly order made before December 19.

“We knew we were onto something we when first launched in Indianapolis last month, but the demand for Drizly in Indiana has been outright humbling,” said Nick Rellas, Drizly CEO and co-founder. “And through our partnership with Big Red Liquors, we’re able bring legal, responsible alcohol delivery to Carmel — a fast-growing community of nearly 90,000 residents and home to about 40 corporate headquarters.”
