The Lincoln Memorial Bridge, which connects Vincennes to Westport, Illinois, is undergoing a $3.2 million rehabilitation.
The full closure will begin on or after March 21. The rehabilitation project includes cleaning, painting, joint sealing, façade repair and a pavement overlay. Crews began the first phase of the project this winter by installing erosion control devices on the columns in the Wabash River.
Depending on weather conditions, the closure is expected to stay in place for about six months. Drivers will be detoured using Illinois 33, U.S. 50 and U.S. 41.
