Lilly Execs to Ring Opening Bell

Lilly Execs to Ring Opening Bell Lilly plans to present trial results at scientific meetings and publications this year and in 2016.

Executives from Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY) will ring the opening bell Monday at the New York Stock Exchange. The company is celebrating the 140th anniversary of its founding this year.

Chief Executive Officer John Lechleiter will be among the leaders marking the start of the trading day on Wall Street.

From humble beginnings with Colonel Eli Lilly, his 14 year-old son and two other employees, the company now includes around 41,000 team members throughout the world. The pharmaceutical maker’s revenues totaled approximately $4.9 billion in the most recent quarter.

In its most recent earnings report, Lechleiter highlighted five potential treatments that are showing promise throughout the review and testing process.
