A groundbreaking ceremony featuring Noblesville city leaders for the new $24.3 million Levinson downtown project will be held this afternoon. The project, which received approval earlier this year, features more than 80 apartment units and a third-floor courtyard.

The apartment offerings include 75 market-rate and 10 affordable-rate studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Comments kick off at 4 p.m. with the groundbreaking following immediately afterward. The event will take place at the project site between Eighth and Ninth streets off Maple Avenue in downtown Noblesville.

Speakers will include Noblesville Mayor John Ditslear, Rebar Development President Shelby Bowen, Noblesville Chamber of Commerce President Bob DuBois and Noblesville Council Vice President Wil Hampton.

Five thousand square feet of commercial space will be available for retail, office, or a restaurant along Ninth Street.

The project will also feature a parking garage with 200 spaces paid public parking and 50 to 100 reserved space for apartment residents.
