The announcement came during Letterman’s return to the Muncie campus for an event Monday featuring filmmakers Bennett Miller and Spike Jonze.
The David Letterman Experience collection will feature props and sets from his time hosting "Late Show" and "Late Night," as well as all of Letterman’s Emmys. Ball State President Paul Ferguson says the donation marks "a new chapter of this storied relationship between Ball State University and David Letterman."
In a release from Ball State, Letterman said, "I’m so lucky to have been invited back. I want to thank everybody here, everybody on campus and the people who run this university. It’s an honor to maintain this association, so thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen."
