Legislators File Sunday Alcohol Sales Bill

State lawmakers are taking another shot at expanding alcohol sales to Sunday. A bill was introduced in the House Tuesday by Representatives Sean Eberhart (R-57) and Terri Austin (D-36). The measure has been referred to the Public Policy Committee.

In 2013, the same legislators championed a similar measure that was not brought to a vote by then-Public Policy Committee Chair Bill Davis.

At the time, Davis said the General Assembly was facing more “pressing” issues.
