Subscribe NowAs Carmel-based Legacy Fund of Hamilton County celebrates its 25th anniversary, its president has announced his departure. Terry Anker, who has served in the role since 2011, says he will step down in March. The organization, which is an affiliate of the Central Indiana Community Foundation, touted Anker’s successes during his tenure as president. Under his leadership, Legacy Fund has raised more than $28 million, awarded nearly 3,000 grants and increased its total assets by $15 million. Anker also helped establish the Youth Assistance Program in every school corporation in Hamilton County. The program targets at-risk youth. Legacy Fund says over the past 25 years, it has awarded nearly $55 million in grants and nearly $5 million in scholarships to area students.
