Leadership Indianapolis Names CEO

The board of directors for Leadership Indianapolis has promoted Rebecca King to president and chief executive officer. King has served as vice president of programs and alumni relations for the leadership training and deployment organization for the past four years.
King has also served as director of the organization’s flagship program, the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series, of which she is also a graduate. She succeeds Christina Hale, who left to become executive director of Kiwanis Youth Programs in Indianapolis.
"At Leadership Indianapolis, we strive to educate, inspire, and mobilize community leaders to serve and strengthen greater Indianapolis," said Joe Smith, board chair for Leadership Indianapolis. "We’re delighted to have Rebecca at the helm. She’s truly lived the mission of volunteer leadership, not only with our organization, but also through her personal life and career."
King also serves as an Indianapolis Foundation Fellow, a board member for the Indiana Repertory Theatre, and co-chair of the partner and agency engagement committee for the United Way of Central Indiana 100th Anniversary.
