Lawrenceburg celebrates new housing
Indianapolis-based real estate developer Flaherty & Collins Properties is Friday holding the grand opening of Whiskey River, a $32 million apartment complex along the Ohio River in Lawrenceburg. Construction of the 150-unit development began in October 2020 and the first residents moved in in April.
The project was in a public-private partnership with the city, the Lawrenceburg Redevelopment Commission, and Flaherty & Collins.
Located just west of Cincinnati, the partners say Whiskey River Apartments was built to attract residents with “strong disposable income” to the city.
“We are looking forward to showing the community what we’ve built here with Whiskey River,” said Deron Kintner, General Counsel and lead project developer for Flaherty & Collins Properties. “Our belief in this project is already backed up by a record-fast lease-up, with more than 80 percent of the units leased. The City of Lawrenceburg is a great partner in this project.”
Kintner says this project could serve as a catalyst for further development in Dearborn County.
