Launch Terre Haute to Update Efforts

Launch Terre Haute leaders and regional partners will give an update on efforts at the coworking space Wednesday afternoon. Congressman Larry Buschon (R-8) will also speak at the event about how coworking spaces are having a positive impact on economic development.
Launch Terre Haute is located in the 100-year-old Deming Building. The organization reached an agreement last year with the building’s owners owners to relocate to Deming, which recently underwent $6 million in renovations. The building also includes commercial retail space and more than 100 apartment units.
The Vigo County facility is just one example of the growing coworking trend throughout Indiana. New coworking spaces opened last year in Kokomo, Westfield and at the WestGate@Crane Technology Park. Earlier this month the state’s largest coworking space, Launch Fishers, held a grand opening ceremony at its new, 52,000 square-foot facility. It houses more than 600 members and features more than a dozen office suites, nearly 20 meeting rooms, a theater and a coffee shop.
The Launch Terre Haute Update is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
