The guide features 18 distilleries known mostly for producing whiskey, gin and vodka, but also other types of hooch, like apple brandy and orangecello. Featured spirit-makers include South Bend-based The Indiana Whiskey Company and Dusty Barn Distillery in Mt. Vernon.
“Indiana has a wealth of agritourism destinations and by creating these resources, Indiana Grown is helping shine a spotlight on their members who can attract consumers both inside and outside of the state,” said Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch. “Our hope is that Hoosiers, and more broadly all Americans, will realize the quality products Indiana has to offer to those near and far.”
Many of the member distilleries utilize local farms and producers for ingredients. The Distillery Trail is the latest in a series of Indiana Grown resources, including the first of its kind Indiana Grown Wine Trail and the recently-launched Indiana Grown Brewery Trail.
The distillery map is available for free on the Indiana Grown website or at any of the participating distilleries. You can also see a map below.
