Large Farm Property to Hit Auction Block

An entrepreneur is selling more than 700 acres of farmland in Cass and Carroll Counties. Schrader Real Estate and Auction Co. Inc. says the land owned by Kansas-based Tribine Harvester LLC President Ben Dillon will be auctioned November 3 as his focus shifts from farming to manufacturing.

Mass production of Dillon’s combine is set to begin in a new factory in Kansas is set to begin in January. Dillon says he plans to invest proceeds from the land sale into his company.

Schrader auction executive Gene Klingaman says the property has a "history of excellent corn and soybean yields." Klingaman says he believes the plot is the largest contiguous fields in Cass County or Carroll County.
