Merrillville-based Lakeshore Public Media, local public broadcast television and radio stations, has promoted Wende Burbridge to vice president of development. She will have the primary responsibilities for program and membership support as well as grant management for Lakeshore PBS and Lakeshore Public Radio. Burbridge first joined the organization in 2004 as an account representative and quickly rose to several supervisory and management positions.

She previously served as business coordinator at Gage Products Co. and more recently with Andrean High School as director of development. Burbridge holds a CFRE in fundraising which upholds the Code of Ethical Principles and Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights. She is a member of AFP Indiana, sits on the board of South Shore Leadership Center as an alumna and serves on the marketing committee for Shirley Heinze Land Trust.

Lakeshore Public Media is the umbrella organizational name for Lakeshore PBS, local PBS member station serving NW Indiana and Chicagoland and for Lakeshore Public Radio, local NPR member station serving NW Indiana.
