The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) has completed a multi-million dollar remodel in Allen County. The company invested $3.2 million to renovate its store in New Haven.
The remodel included new produce cases, a new floral section, and a new meat and seafood section. The company also enhanced its checkout lanes which it says will reduce the time customers spend in line.
"Such investments represent Kroger’s determination to do more than put food on the table," said Kroger Central Division President Pam Matthews. "We want to make life a little easier and a little brighter for our customers."
As the ribbon was cut on the renovated store, Kroger also donated more than $31,000 to three area food banks, as well as $500 each to the New Haven Fire and Police Departments.
