A Kosciusko County coating company has opened a new production facility in the town of Etna Green. Winona Powder Coating Inc. says the $5 million investment will result in 25 new jobs over the next several years.

Etna Green, Ind. — Winona Powder Coating, Inc. announces the grand opening of its new Etna Green Production Facility on August 9, 2013.

The Grand Opening of the 167,000 square foot Etna Green facility is a tremendous expansion from the current 30,000 square foot property in Mentone. The new facility has a state of the art powder coating line with a 5 stage washer, automatic and manual coating booths, and digitally controlled ovens, all of which are operated using the latest in industrial automation. The new line can coat parts up to 72 inches high by 36 inches wide and up to 24 feet in length. With this facility, Winona Powder is responding to customers' demand to expand its coating offerings, which will create additional jobs in the community.

Winona Powder Coating, Inc. relocation to the vacant building brings new investment, new jobs and state of the art technology to the town of Etna Green,” noted George Robertson, President of Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation.

“This industrial property in Etna Green provided the perfect location for Winona Powder Coating to expand. We had outgrown our facility in Mentone and to find such a building only 9 miles away is simply amazing” stated Jamie Visker, CEO of Winona. He added, “The town of Etna Green, The Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation, and the State of Indiana came together to provide a great package of economic incentives to assist in this expansion. This location, along with our 50,000 square feet in Elkhart, will allow Winona Powder Coating to continue to provide the best powder coating services in the northern Indiana and southern Michigan area.”

Winona Powder Coating, Inc. expansion represents a $5 million dollar capital investment and an additional 25 jobs over the next several years.

Indiana Municipal Power, which serves the Town of Etna Green, provided energy conservation assistance. The Town created a TIF district, which provided assistance to the company and created new growth opportunities on the site. The State will be providing workforce and training assistance.

Winona Powder Coating, Inc. has been in business since 1974 and started powder coating in 1979. The company operates two facilities, 167,000 square feet in Etna Green and 50,000 square feet in Elkhart. Winona operates its own fleet of trucks and trailers to provide pickup and delivery services to its customers.
