Howard County’s first co-working space has opened in Kokomo’s Inventrek Technology Park. The Shared Drive offers resources including fiber and Wi-Fi connections and access to programming and networking events.
Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance President Charlie Sparks says the co-working space "plays a key role in our organization’s economic development strategy." He says Shared Drive helps the community meet the needs of entrepreneurs, startups and people looking for networking and collaboration opportunities.
The 3,000 square-foot space was made possible through a $25,000 grant from Indiana University Kokomo. It offers "pay as you go" membership for $40 per month and year-long passes for $440.
