Kokomo Manufacturer to Double Operations

Kokomo Manufacturer to Double Operations

Kokomo-based AndyMark Inc. has announced plans to expand its Howard County operations. The robotic parts supplier says it will invest $1.5 million to move into a new facility on the northeast side of Kokomo and create 30 jobs by 2021.

The Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance says the 88,000-square-foot facility will have space for the company’s current light manufacturing equipment, e-commerce fulfillment operations and allow for future expansion.

"There are two main reasons that required us to look for additional space for our company growth," said Andy Baker, president and owner of AndyMark. "The first is that we have new projects in development that require more space, and second, we are planning to expand our in-house manufacturing."

AndyMark currently employs 26 full-time employees and 29 seasonal and part-time employees. The company originally began at the Inventrek Technology Park before moving into its current location in 2011. It later began renting additional warehouse space to accommodate growing demand.

AndyMark plans to transition to the new location at 1900 E. North Street in May.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. is offering AndyMark $215,000 in conditional tax credits based. The company will not be eligible to claim the incentives until Hoosiers are hired for the new jobs.
