The Knox County Development Corp. has appointed Christopher Pfaff as its new chief executive officer. Pfaff is recently retired from the U.S. Army where he held a number of strategic positions including Mission Director for Atterbury-Muscatatuck Center for Complex Operations.

The corporation says Pfaff’s background includes economic development and leadership experience from multiple civic and governmental assignments.

“Knox County is a vibrant community with fully engaged business, education and government leaders, and I am extremely eager to begin this new mission. I look forward to building strong and trusted relationships throughout the region,” said Pfaff.

Pfaff also served as director of strategic initiatives for the Indiana National Guard. Additionally, KCDC says Pfaff also worked for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation where he served as the state’s director of business development.
