CHICAGO, Ind. – Legendary college basketball coaches Bob Knight and Gene Keady will headline the annual Indiana Society of Chicago Foundation dinner on December 7 in Chicago.
Knight and Keady, who captivated Hoosier basketball fans during their long-time coaching careers at Indiana University and Purdue University respectively, will headline the annual event in Chicago that celebrates Hoosier people and places and raises scholarship funds for students attending Indiana colleges. Knight is the keynote speaker and will be introduced by Keady.
The 108th Anniversary Dinner of the Indiana Society of Chicago Foundation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Fairmont Hotel, 200 N. Columbus Drive, Chicago.
The 2013 honoree is Indiana owned and managed Centaur Gaming, whose Indiana Grand Racing & Casino in Shelbyville – and Hoosier Park Racing & Casino in Anderson, have become recognized as central Indiana's premier entertainment destinations. Special recognition will be presented to the cities of Shelbyville and Anderson, Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine, and former Indiana Governor and current Purdue University President Mitch Daniels as the 2013 Hoosier of the Year. Miss Indiana 2013 Terrin Thomas will be on hand to sing the National Anthem.
