New Economic Development Exec in Wells Co.

Kline will begin his duties on Dec. 28

A selection committee has named Chad Kline as the new executive director of Wells County Economic Development. Kline will begin his duties on December 28.

The selection committee, which consists of representatives from the Wells County Economic Development Council, reached a unanimous decision to select Kline. Kline says his new post is a fulfillment of what he’s been working toward for the past several years.

“I am really honored to receive this opportunity,” said Kline. “I think Wells County has some incredible opportunities in regards to economic development. There are educational things I look forward to working on, programs where workers can improve their skills and we can help industries to find those skilled workers."

Kline currently serves as a Noble County commissioner and is also president of the Noble Plan Commission. He has also served on the boards of the Noble County Council on Aging, the St. Joseph River Basin Commission, the Noble County E911 commission, Noble County Thrive, a group focused on community improvements and enhancements, and the We Care health clinics of Noble County.
