Kiwanis Leader Appointed to Army Civilian Post

Stan Soderstrom, executive director of Kiwanis International, has been appointed Indiana’s civilian aide to the secretary of the Army. He has served as head of the organization since 2009. Soderstrom will serve a two-year term without compensation.

Kiwanis and the Army have been partners since 2011. Each state, the District of Columbia and the five U.S. territories have one or more CASAs to provide vital links between the Army and the communities they serve. CASAs are usually business or civic leaders who have a keen interest in the welfare of the Army and their communities.
