BATESVILLE, Ind. – Kim Ryan, President of Batesville, a subsidiary of Hillenbrand, Inc. (NYSE: HI) was appointed to the Board of Directors at Kimball International, Inc. (KBALB: NASDAQ). Ms. Ryan's appointment is effective February 18, 2014, at the next scheduled board meeting.
Kimball International provides a variety of products from their two business segments: the Electronic Manufacturing Services segment and the Furniture segment. The Kimball Electronics Group provides engineering and manufacturing services which utilize common production and support capabilities globally to automotive, industrial, medical and public safety market verticals. The Furniture segment provides furniture for the office and hospitality markets sold under a family of brand names – Kimball Office, National Office Furniture, and Kimball Hospitality.

Ms. Ryan has been President of Batesville, Inc., a leader in the North American death care industry through the manufacture and sale of funeral services products since 2011. Previously, she served in a number of senior leadership roles throughout the Hillenbrand family of companies including finance, operations, logistics, and information technology during her 23-year career.
