KAR Makes Leadership Moves For TradeRev

Carmel-based KAR Auction Services Inc. (NYSE: KAR) has made several leadership appointments for one of its subsidiaries. KAR says the appointments include a new president and chief marketing officer for TradeRev, which the company acquired earlier this month.
KAR has named Becca Polak president of TradeRev. Polak has served as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for KAR for the past 10 years. In her new role, she will oversee all operations, sales product and market development, and corporate functions for TradeRev in the U.S. Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Polak has also been promoted to chief legal officer and secretary for KAR. The company says she will have oversight of its enterprise legal and corporate communications functions.
The company has also named Tobin Richer chief marketing officer for TradeRev. Richer will assume his new role in addition to his current role as senior vice president of corporate communications for KAR. Richer will be responsible for accelerating TradeRev’s marketing efforts to "amplify brand awareness and expand its market footprint."
Additionally, KAR has promoted Chuck Coleman to senior vice president, general counsel and assistant secretary. Both Coleman and Richer will report to Polak.
In a news release, KAR Chief Executive Officer Jim Hallett says he is confident Polak will help lead the company’s digital transformation. Hallett will appear this week on Inside INdiana Business Television with Gerry Dick to talk about KAR’s acquisition of TradeRev and the move into the digital space.
