Brownsburg-based K1ds Count LLC has broken ground on its new facility in Crawfordsville. The company, which provides pediatric therapy and behavioral services, is investing $500,000 into the clinic at the Crawfordsville Commerce Park, which could create up to 30 jobs.

The city says K1ds Count has outgrown the space it is currently leasing in Crawfordsville. The new, 9,500-square-foot facility will allow the company to add ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy to children on or off the autism spectrum.

"Anytime we can assist in the growth of one of our companies we will," said Crawfordsville Mayor Todd Barton. "K1ds Count is meeting a need in our community, so it’s a “win/win” for everyone.  As a result, helping them turn dirt is cause for celebration and when completed, will be a great addition to our Crawfordsville Commerce Park."

The new clinic will include three classrooms, individual therapy rooms, two gyms, a playground, and an outpatient wing, among other amenities. The company currently employs 22 in Crawfordsville.

The city has approved a five-year real property tax abatement for the project.
